The Seven last words of Jesus Christ while He was crucified on the cross is one of the most important events remembered by the Christians. This is the time of commemoration for the sacrifices of our Lord and Saviour - Jesus Christ. Great Shepherd Baptist Church of San Antonio Nueva Ecija Inc. held the said event last April 2, 2021. Six speakers spoke such as Preacher Ulysses D. Manalon Jr., Preacher Renz M. Ogalisco, Preacher Uel D. Manalon, Preacher Adel M. Paner together with the guest speaker Rev. Eddie Belayo and our very own pastor - Rev. Ulysis M. Manalon delivered and discussed in details the last words of Jesus Christ while he was crucified at Calvary, he also cited verses like: (1) Luke 23:34 “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”, (2) Luke 23:43 “Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise”, (3) John 19:26-27 “Jesus said to his mother: “Woman behold thy son” then he said to the disciple “Behold thy mother.” (4) Matthew 27:46 “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”. (5) John 19:28 “I thirst.”, (6) John 19:30 “It is finished.”, (7) Luke 23:46 “and when Jesus had cried with a loud voice he said “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit”; and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.”. There were also special numbers given by Sister Melbert Galasinao, Bro Uzziel Manalon, Sister Melody and Sister Joan, Panganiban couple, the Quartet, Bro Rommy Verayo and the Quintet in an alternate manner respectively.
The statements paved the way for realizations. We have been reminded by his sacrifices because of our sin’s despite of our uncleanliness and iniquities, Jesus Christ still chose to die for us to be saved. The event ended with an early dinner and everyone went home with a warm heart, touched by the seven-last word of Jesus.
