Birthdays should be celebrated! The day we were born means a lot to our parents and to all of us as it is a blessing from the Lord. As long as we live, we have to thank the One who created us and still permits us to catch our breaths and live according to His purpose.

This “Bless our Birthday Celebrators” ministry has become a great encouragement for each member of Great Shepherd Baptist Church of San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, Inc. As we greet the birthday celebrators, we also bless them through simple materials gifts. The members contribute according to their hearts and try their best in making their brethren’s birthday a special and memorable one.

Furthermore, for Christians, there is a need to set an example in celebrating a birthday and start to break the stereotypes of a worldly celebration. A birthday is a celebration of life from God thus it needs to be aligned unto God’s will and purpose.
